First champions crowned in 2022 Season B

Nine teams lifted Liga Suparimau trophies on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st July as selected age groups and districts came to a close for 2022 Season B.

First to be crowned were Lestari Beast who claimed the Kuala Lumpur Under-14 division on goal difference by a single goal.

They were joined on Saturday by Sri Permata in the Selangor Under-14 division and BOSS FC in Negeri Sembilan Under-16. Sumaki Junior and JJFC Tenom became Liga Suparimau’s first East Malaysia champions in the Sabah Under-14 and Under-16 competitions respectively.

In the Kuala Lumpur Girls Under-14 division, SSS Leopard FC capped a perfect season with a 3-0 win on the final day to lay their hands on the trophy.

On Sunday, attention turned to the younger age groups, with leagues finishing for the Under-8s and 10s in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, Under-12s in Kuala Lumpur, and Under-14s in Penang.

MSRI Refugee Academy and KDH Global took the honours in the two Kuala Lumpur Under-12 divisions, while Penang Panther B came out tops in Penang’s Under-14 competition.

While there are no team placing awards given to Under-6, Under-8 and Under-10 academies in Liga Suparimau, all players walked away with a participation medal and certificate.
